About This Place

Nestled in the heart of New York City’s Upper East Side, Ravagh Persian Grill offers an authentic and vibrant Persian dining experience that captivates both seasoned lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine and newcomers alike. Specializing in traditional Persian dishes and expertly grilled kebabs, this charming restaurant invites diners on a sensory journey filled with fragrant spices, rich flavors, and warm hospitality.

Step inside, and you’ll immediately notice the cozy yet elegant ambiance, where soft lighting and tasteful decor create the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The staff's genuine warmth makes every guest feel like family, enhancing the intimate atmosphere that pairs beautifully with the culinary delights on offer.

The menu is a celebration of Persia’s rich culinary heritage, featuring crowd favorites like the Sultani Kabob with Albaloo Polo, a succulent combo of tender kabobs served alongside fragrant cherry rice that bursts with a subtle tartness and aromatic warmth. The Kobideh Kebob, made from perfectly seasoned ground meat, is juicy and full-bodied—its smoky char balancing tenderness in every bite. For those who appreciate vibrant starters, the Hummus is luxuriously creamy, blended with crushed chickpeas, tahini, and house spices that elevate each spoonful, while smoky Babaganoush offers a velvety contrast with its roasted eggplant base and garlic undertones.

Seafood aficionados can delight in carefully grilled options like the Salmon Steak Dinner or the elegantly broiled Branzini, both served with aromatic dilled rice and grilled vegetables—a subtle harmony of textures and tastes. Complement your meal with freshly baked breads, a variety of dips, and the restaurant’s signature sauces that bring every dish to life.

For dessert, Ravagh truly shines with traditional sweets like Baklava and the ethereal Faloodeh, a refreshing rosewater and lemony frozen treat served in delicate strands. Customers rave about the saffron and pistachio ice cream—a luscious blend of creamy richness and fragrant accents that feels like pure indulgence with every bite. It’s no surprise that this dish often steals the spotlight as the perfect finale to a stellar meal.

Many diners praise Ravagh’s inviting atmosphere and authentic flavors. Reviewer Ari calls it “the best Persian food in America,” captivated by the incredible food and out-of-this-world desserts. Hani Ziadeh appreciates the “classy and cozy” vibe as much as the “super authentic flavors,” while Bothainah Akadi lauds the friendly service and perfectly cooked kabobs. Newcomers like Samantha J find themselves quickly falling in love with the restaurant’s warmth, attentive staff, and perfectly juicy koobideh kebabs.

Whether you’re seeking a refined yet relaxed dinner spot or a vibrant place to indulge in Persian culinary treasures, Ravagh Persian Grill delivers an experience that’s both heartfelt and unforgettable. It’s a destination that leaves you craving not only the food but also the comforting embrace of Persian hospitality.

Absolutely loved Ravagh Persian Cuisine! Super authentic flavors and you can feel the warmth from the second you walk in — staff is really friendly and on point with service. The atmosphere is classy and cozy, perfect for a nice dinner. We started with the Mediterranean salad — fresh and full of flavor, easily a 9/10. The lamb koobideh was juicy and cooked just right, with that delicious saffron rice on the side. But the real star? The chicken fesinjan. That sauce was on another level — rich, bold, and unforgettable. Definitely a must-try. Will be coming back for sure!

We absolutely loved our experience here! The Hummus and Sambusak were delicious starters, and the Ash Reshteh soup was rich and flavorful. Both the Beef Koobideh Kabob and the Lamb were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. On top of that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended We’lldefinitely come back!

I stopped by here for a late lunch for the first time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. Everyone that worked there said hello and looked happy to be there. The restaurant itself is very cute, cozy, and clean. I’m pretty new to Persian Cuisine and have only had it once other time. While I liked it the first time- this time I REALLY enjoyed it. The koobideh kabobs were seasoned perfectly and was soo juicy and tender. For dessert I got Persian tea (which I love) and I decided to try to Faloodeh. The fresh lemon and sour cherries were a lovely touch, making it very light and fresh after that amazing meal. The noodles in it were also a nice surprise as it gave it a nice texture. The best part is I didn’t feel overstuffed or tired after eating. It felt like I was eating a comforting home meal- that being said I left extremely happy and satisfied lol I also got the dark meat chicken Kabob to as well to try it .. it was sooo juicy. I think I could just eat the chicken every day like that alone lol in the to go bag they also packed some of their delicious fresh bread, along with sauces for it and some sumac. Needless to say, I will be returning again! I’m constantly craving that koobideh and I absolutely want to try some new things! Also needed to add that while I was eating, a customer came in wanting gluten free options. One gentleman kindly stood there and assisted her, pointing out everything she could get. The people always make the places better.
